Questions we get asked
Is an electric fence safe and legal?
Yes. Energisers deliver a short, high-voltage, very low-current pulse that is painful but not dangerous, and warning signs are fitted. Electric fences are used widely on homes, farms and industrial sites across Pakistan.
Does it work during load-shedding?
Yes. Every energiser we install has a backup battery, typically for 12 to 24 hours, and can be added to your solar or UPS supply.
Will it harm children, pets or birds?
The fence is mounted on top of the wall out of normal reach. Birds sitting on a single wire are not affected. Pets and children inside the property cannot reach it.
Can it alert me on my phone?
Yes. GSM or app-connected energisers send an alert when the fence is cut, shorted or touched, with the zone number.
How much maintenance does it need?
A check every 3 to 6 months: voltage test, vegetation clearing, battery health. We include this in the AMC.
Can it be connected to my CCTV?
Yes. A fence alarm can trigger a PTZ camera to turn to that zone, switch on floodlights and start recording.
What about monsoon rain and dust?
Insulators, brackets and the energiser are rated for outdoor use. Heavy rain briefly lowers voltage, which the monitoring accounts for.
How long does installation take?
A typical house takes one to two days. Farms and factories depend on the perimeter length.
