Questions we get asked
How long will my cameras run on backup?
It depends on the load and battery size. A typical 8-camera system with a 2 kVA UPS and two batteries runs 4 to 6 hours; we size for your actual outage schedule.
Can I add backup to a system someone else installed?
Yes. This is one of our most common jobs.
Does the fire alarm need a separate backup?
Fire panels have internal standby batteries, which we size and test. A UPS is added for connected PA and integration equipment.
Can the backup work with my solar system?
Yes. We integrate with hybrid inverters or install a dedicated UPS on the solar-backed circuit.
How do I know when the battery is weak?
Monitored UPS units send alerts, and AMC visits include a battery load test.
